Girona, beautiful Girona! Home of the Game of Thrones movie set (which I do not endorse by the way), the oldest Jewish Quarters in all of Spain and filled with rich history. 

In this beautiful town you can absolutely see the old medieval architecture but also later Roman influence. This city had been laid siege to over 20 times, so it has had its fair share of invasions. 

Girona now has another reason for the larger flux of tourim- Game of Thrones backdrop. However, personally the streets like these are ones that made me feel like I was waltzing through a romantic movie. 

"La muralla" the wall of Girona was built to protect this beloved city from invaders, but clearly it didn't work, due to the number of invasions! 

Nothing like finding fresh fruit in the markets on the streets of Girona on Las Ramblas de Llibertat. 

Girona is one of the most nationalistic cities that is 110% for the independence of Spain. Almost every street corner you turn, you will see either the Catalonian flag of independence or these ties on the windows, indicating the desire for separation from el gobierno de Espana. 

The Arab baths were one of my favorite findings in Girona! These Arab baths are Romanesque construction (12th century) inspired by Roman baths, its most outstanding elements include the entrance, which was used as a changing room and relaxation area and is covered with a barrel vault, and the cupola covering the central pool, which is supported by slim columns with gorgeously capitals.

Very mysterious, are they not?! 

Of course we had to try the gelato made by the #1 best restaurant in the world for 2013 and 2014- El Celler de Can Roca. And it really was fantastic! 

We climbed up this old German barracks fortress to get this view of the city. Worth it! 

Located within the Força Vella, the Jewish Quarter or Call is one of the city's most emblematic areas. It consists of a labyrinth of narrow streets and patios that have maintained their medieval atmosphere. It is one of the best preserved Jewish quarters in the world and clear evidence of the importance of the Jewish culture in Girona.

Running up these stairs where they filmed the Game of Thrones TV series truly did feel like a cinematic moment. It also reminded me of the beautiful ethereal fairytale wedding ceremony scene of Arwen Undomiel and Aragorn Elessar from Lord of the Rings. :)

Park Guell or should I say Candyland? This wonder filled intricate and whimsical architecture was designed by Antoni Gaudi I Cornet, one of the best known architects in Catalonia and in Spain. Gaudí's works have a highly individualized and distinctive style. Most people note him for the infamous Sagrada Familia, which we will do a part 2 on! :) But for now enjoy this lovely place! 

Parc Guell has one of the best, most incredible views of Barcelona-- only a few minutes from the neighborhood Gracia and maybe 15-20 minutes from the heart of Barcelona, this Parc is a must for anyone who appreciates great art. It really is one of the #1 best places to go when you visit Barcelona. 

Walking into this park truly felt like magic. I wish we had more extravagant architecture like this in Nashville or in the United States! Perhaps someone will get inspired and it will come. :) 

Parc Guell is located on Muntanya Pelada (bare mountain). Its location was unbeatable, in an incredible setting and with splendid views over the sea and city of Barcelona.

If you would like to learn more about the history of this gorgeous place I recommend you check out this website HERE. Also, wouldn't this make the most unique wedding destination!? If we shot a wedding here it would have to be one of the the most avant-garde weddings perhaps with quite modern florals or even a sweet themed wedding- the bride perhaps in a gold wedding dress rather than white?! Dream with me now. :) Parc Guell would be a gorgeous location for a wedding or engagement portraits - if there was some way to slow down the tourism even for a couple hours. :)

Nick and Dina are absolutely amazing!! Here are just a few snippets into their special day. <3 

This lovely classic wedding took place at one of the best, oldest homes in Nashville, The Buchanan Log House of Elm Wood. This beautiful early spring/ late winter wedding fused together with soft silvers, blush pinks and vibrant rich blues, purples and greens - the perfect classic wedding color palette. 

Dina's wedding dress was absolutely gorgeous!! Nick & Dina met while serving at a non-profit ministry in downtown Nashville called the Foundry... they courted, and then the rest is history!! They are absolutely adorable together. :) 

Dina is so adored by her friends and beautiful mama. Mother daughter moments... so special!

Jen is just an absolute treasure! As soon as you meet her, her warm smile lights up a room! 

The most amazing thing is that she is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. When she is not killing it on camera, you can find her caring for and rescuing elderly people in the cardiac ICU. 

This Brazilian beauty truly kicked this shoot out of the park!! 

AND, when she's not slaying it on camera or saving lives she likes to spend time with her family or exploring/traveling the world and around Europe!! Next time, I want to go with!! Sao Paulo Brazil, Athens, Greece, Barcelona, Spain... wherever. You name it, I'm there. :) 

Also, not to mention, her wardrobe is top knotch! If you are looking to hire a model for your new clothing brand, commericial...anything, look no further than Jennifer Ludi! She's the one! :)

These engagement was seriously so much fun! Joe and I had been in communication weeks before the shoot planning and coordinating the time and place for his perfect proposal to Marilyn. 

They flew in from California for this special night and he told Marilyn he was going to take her out for dinner so she had to dress up... perfect setup. :) 

Sure enough, I was standing in the area I assumed he would propose at looking like a total tourist incognito and all of a sudden I saw them walk by and he did this!!!

How sweet is that!?! Look at the look on her beautiful Irish face and that gorgeous rock on her hand!! 

So sweet!! I wish them the best of luck on their journey towards marriage. :) 

Anna is just absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Aside from being just perfectly adorable in every way, Anna is also a professional ballet dancer, which made her a complete pro in front of the camera... so graceful and elegant! 

We walked down Mainstreet in downtown Franklin, turned a little corner and found a hidden flower haven!! The hyacinths truly make her lips pop and match perfectly! 

If you want the best vacation with an incredible stay, I HIGHLY recommend the Magnolia House in Mt. Pleasant South Carolina. We stayed at this home while vacationing in Charleston, SC this spring. It comfortably rooms 8 people and has the most beautiful pool in the back yard surrounded by palm trees. It truly is a little paradise on Earth. Enough descriptions, let me just show you the house! 

Don't get me wrong, I really do love Nashville. HOWEVER, staying in this gorgeous Charleston home made me think twice about living 8 hours away from the nearest beach haha. :) 

Take my advice and go enjoy your stay in the Magnolia rental home ... the best vacation stay in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina! 

Had a blast capturing Sarah's musician artist photoshoot her the cover of her next CD! Sarah is multi-talented!! She sings, plays the piano and writes beautiful original music - a mix of country and Christian. 

Her golden blonde hair just seemed to perfectly fit the golden fields and piano in the midst of the field.

This woman right here is a beautiful soul!!! Not only is she absolutely beautiful on the outside, she radiates from within. 

Elizabeth is currently pursuing a career in nursing... and you can bet she's gonna be one of the best out there!

I just love the rustic/ambient feel of this coffee shop. Always on the lookout for fun new spots in town and this one was definitely a hit! 

This candid lifestyle portrait shoot was so fun to do. Special thank you to the Coffeehouse in Franklin, an amazing local business. If you want wonderful hot drinks in the heart of downtown Franklin, you should definitely check it out!

Gorgeous golden sunsets, dreamy rustic fields? This shoot with Sydni for her graduation senior portraits was an absolute dream! She looked like a model straight out of a magazine. 

This Franklin High School Class of 2017 Graduate made my job the easiest. Sydni is so easygoing and was so fun to work with!! 

These photos were shot in an open field in Franklin, TN, about 25 minutes south of downtown Nashville. 

Eleanor Roosevelt once elegantly said these moving words that truly resonate with Sydni's passion to follow her dreams in her desires after high school graduation.

Bennett's session was an absolute blast! This Class of 2017 Brentwood High School graduate has a bright future ahead of him!

Bennett just recently received his Eagle Scout award. Not only is brilliant but he is also persistent and dedicated having pursued this achievement! 

What a delight it was capturing Ms. Emily Suttle's senior portraits. She is truly radiant inside and out. So proud of her accomplishment in achieving the status of Ms. Teen Tennessee USA. 

To me, senior portraits are so much more than a few pictures before graduation. Senior portraits are about capturing the beauty and essence of each person, and reminiscing on the beautiful accomplishments as well as the exciting possibilities the future holds. 

Mary Kay the founder of Mary Kay cosmetics once stated it beautifully, "When you reach an obstacle, turn it into an opportunity. You have the choice. You can overcome and be a winner, or you can allow it to overcome you and be a loser. the choice is yours and yours along. Refuse to throw in the towel." That is exactly what Emily chooses to do. She did not give up in anyway on pursuing her dreams and accomplishments and is watching the future unfold for her. I can hardly wait to see what Emily has yet to accomplish! 

Sarah was a delight to work with! Her serene yet bright personality puts you at ease immediately. I had a blast shooting this Artist Musician Portrait shoot for Nashville Singer and guitarist, Sarah Pearl. 

AH, I love this one! The sun illuminates her gorgeous dark hair from the back, casting a golden halo of light around her. 

You should absolutely check out this amazing Nashville musician's music which is soon to be released or go hear her perform live at a concert or maybe on Broadway. One of my favorite moments during the shoot was when I asked her if she could play something or pretend to play so I could get a shot. Immediately she breaks out into this incredible instrumental electric guitar solo and acts as if it was second nature and could do it in her sleep!! Talk about talent. :)

Want to see a beautiful shoot of a stunning senior in High School?? Meet Marcella... Class of 2017 Top at Nashville School of the Arts. 

We shot at Watkins Park in Nashville as well as on Clinton St. near Provision International's Foundry and the Fortress on the corner of 16th. 

Marcella is passionate about music and theater arts and is a talented actress in the Nashville area herself! Look out... you may see her one day on Broadway. She's the best!! :)

Aboslutely capturing Amy's compassionate, outgoing nature through portraits. Officially being a senior at St. Cecilia Academy Class of 2017 is absolutely an occasion to celebrate! 

Isn't she just the best? Simone de Beauvoir once stated that "One is not born, but rather becomes a woman." I believe this statement is true of Amy, she carries her self with such dignity, poise, and elegance yet with an endearing aura. I am confident she will succeed at anything she puts her mind to pursuing. Sky's the limit. :) 

Wow, these two were such a blast to work with. Kishore decided to surprise his newly wed wife with a 1 year anniversary photoshoot in Brentwood Park Marcella Vivrette to commemorate their first year together. Isn't that absolutely precious? 

We shot this anniversary shoot at the golden hour at dusk at the Marcella Vivrette (Smith Park) in Brentwood, Tennessee in late July (half way between Franklin and Nashville). The location was absolutely perfect because we had plenty of gorgeous fields to shoot through as well as a perfect line of trees in the back. 

I always love finding out interesting facts about my clients, and found out that these two were originally both from India. Being half Indian myself, I immediately felt a connection on another level as we were able to talk about the culture, food, and traditions.  We decided to shoot with two different outfits: one formal look as well as a casual, natural look to diversify the looks. 

Their chemistry was so adorable and beautiful, it almost felt as if we were shooting their engagement photos! So natural and fun together. 

Albert Einstein once cleverly wrote, "You can't blame gravity for falling in love." While that statement has some truth to it, this beautiful couple had so much love and joy. 

"Let us always meet each other with smile, for smile is the beginning of love." - Mother Teresa. I absolutely love this quote because, many wedding, engagement, and anniversary shoots later, I have found this statement to ring true. The couples that express the greatest amount of love and affection are the couples that laugh and smile.
